Secondary Operations

We're often able to incorporate secondary processes into a final product, stock and release per specification. That allows us to further reduce manufacturing and inventory costs to our customers.
Specializing in re-heading, we maintain multiple re-headers ranging in diameter from .125" to .5625" used for forming multiple heads, collars and washers. These custom-built machines are well suited to perform extrusions and lead points as well.
Our comprehensive rolling capabilities include thread rolling, cutting, forming, profiling, groove rolling and knurling, with automatic and hand feed rollers ranging in size from #0 to #30.
Talma thread styles include thread cutting, thread forming and machine screw threads to many non-standard designs.
Talma Fastener has substantial internal punch press capabilities with a capacity range of 1 to 230 tons for coining, bending, flattening, piercing and trimming.
Our assembly competency, including complex, plc-driven pneumatic pick and place with automated inspection, is a primary element that has enabled our long-term success.
Talma produces over one million multi-part, critical tolerance assemblies every month. Typically this may involve a staking operation on rotary dial hydraulic presses.
