History
Founded in 1964 by four men with over 50 years combined experience in cold heading, Talma Fastener Corp. is named for the small town in central Indiana where it is located.
Initially serving the automotive market, the passage of the 1967 Federal Automotive Safety Act paved the way for Talma to become one of the first suppliers certified to produce safety items for the General Motors Company.
In 1968, Talma Fastener purchased Quality Fasteners of Kalamazoo, Michigan, thereby increasing production range and capacity.
Since 1975, the company has aggressively pursued and earned a reputation for cold heading special and non-standard, difficult-to-produce products, as well as converting conventionally machined product to cold heading – providing superior parts at lower costs in the process.
In June 2008, Oconomowoc Manufacturing Corporation of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin purchased the assets of Talma Fastener. Soon after, Oconomowoc moved its cold heading department here to Talma, expanding our production capacity to include nut and parts forming.
