OMCO Receives Patent on New Conveyor Chain Packaging
Innovation Improves Product Preservation, Transportation & Ease of Installation
Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, USA, 30 November 2004 - Oconomowoc Manufacturing Corporation (OMCO) was issued a patent today for a container for use with and method of managing conveyor chain, such as that used in overhead enclosed track conveyors.
According to Scott Breyer, OMCO Director of Manufacturing & Engineering and the designer of the product, the durable, composite container is airtight and significantly improves product preservation. Additionally, the container makes transportation and installation of an eighty pound, twenty-foot length of chain manageable by one, albeit strong, individual.
In addition to increased shelf life with regard to anti-corrosion, those responsible for field installation of overhead enclosed track conveyor chain will likely find the advancement a welcome tool to assist with the physical challenge of this task.
OMCO is a leading U.S. manufacturer and supplier of motion products, including unground bearings, ground bearings, integrated bearing assemblies, conveyor system components, casters and wheels, and certain other manufactured components used for applications in the Material Handling, Sliding Doors & Partitions, Furniture, Food & Beverage Equipment, and Automotive industries.
