OMCO Executives Visit President and First Lady at White House Holiday Gathering
24 Million Assemblies and Counting
Washington D.C., USA, 16 December 2004 - Oconomowoc Manufacturing Corporation (OMCO), a leading manufacturer of ball bearings and other motion-related products based in Oconomowoc, today announced that Donald E. Sydow, its CEO, and Kyle C. Stoehr, its President, attended a special White House holiday gathering hosted by President George W. Bush and the First Lady on December 15th. The invitation from the President to attend the special holiday gathering held at the White House last evening was prompted by a July breakfast meeting at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, after which OMCO was recognized for economic achievement in a speech given by the President at the Waukesha County Expo Center.
Donald E. Sydow, OMCO's CEO who began working with the company in 1964, and who purchased OMCO in 1982, said, "As a beneficiary of the President's economic policies, on behalf of OMCO, we were pleased to be recognized by the President in July, and even more pleased that our small contribution to the nation's economy was remembered by the President and his staff six months later. Having the opportunity to attend a special holiday gathering at the White House hosted by the President and the First Lady was definitely one of the personal highlights of my 40-year association with OMCO, and one which I will never forget."
Kyle C. Stoehr, OMCO's President, added, "It was really an honor and a privilege to be invited to the White House by the President and the First Lady, and all of us at OMCO are confident that the President's economic policies over the next four years will continue to enable us to invest in equipment and employees, thereby contributing to the Milwaukee area, Waukesha County, Wisconsin and national economies."
