Oconomowoc Manufacturing Acquires Talma Fastener Corp.

Addition of Indiana-Based Cold Header Expands Capabilities and Decreases Production Costs

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, USA, 25 June 2008 - Oconomowoc Manufacturing Corporation today announced it has acquired the assets of Talma Fastener Corp., a north-central Indiana manufacturer of specialty cold headed components.

Established in 1964, Talma Fastener Corp. serves a variety of industries including, but not limited to: bearing, automotive, electric motor, furniture, hardware, appliance and electronic. Cold heading is a high-speed alternative to machining whereby metal parts are forged to specified geometries using punches and dies. With approximately 40 bolt makers, nut formers and parts formers up to 1" in cutoff diameter and 10" in length, Talma offers comprehensive forming capacities. Additionally, the company specializes in long parts, re-heading, bent wire, threading, and has significant stamping capabilities.

Regarding the acquisition, President Kyle Stoehr of Oconomowoc Manufacturing Corp. had this to say, "We're very enthusiastic about the opportunity to add the Talma organization and its diverse range of forming capabilities to our manufacturing portfolio. The company's competitiveness and unique positioning in the marketplace, as well as the complementary fit to our existing operations are significant; however the company's tenured, experienced and dedicated personnel have proven invaluable with respect to the initiation of this partnership."
