Oconomowoc Manufacturing Acquires Talma Fastener Corp.
Addition of Indiana-Based Cold Header Expands Capabilities and Decreases Production Costs
Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, USA, 25 June 2008 - Oconomowoc Manufacturing Corporation today announced it has acquired the assets of Talma Fastener Corp., a north-central Indiana manufacturer of specialty cold headed components.
Established in 1964, Talma Fastener Corp. serves a variety of industries including, but not limited to: bearing, automotive, electric motor, furniture, hardware, appliance and electronic. Cold heading is a high-speed alternative to machining whereby metal parts are forged to specified geometries using punches and dies. With approximately 40 bolt makers, nut formers and parts formers up to 1" in cutoff diameter and 10" in length, Talma offers comprehensive forming capacities. Additionally, the company specializes in long parts, re-heading, bent wire, threading, and has significant stamping capabilities.
